Fst and violation of the assumptions

Postby eugenia » Thu Oct 06, 2005 11:06 pm

One of the assumptions of Fst is that ancestral population before fragmentation was at HWE.
How valid is the application of Fst analysis when that assumption is violated? e.g. cases of high variance in reproductive success, demographic expansion, etc. Is there any bibliography on the topic?
